Goalie Program
Lovell Hockey is pleased to announce the ddition of Mike Doneghey to our staff as our Goalie Coach.
We will shortly be including information n he site about our new goalie program. Please stay tuned!
Mike is in his first year as a volunteer assistant coach at Harvard. He will work primarily with the Crimson goaltenders.
He is no stranger to college hockey in the Northeast. He served as an assistant coach with the men’s hockey program at Merrimack from 1999-2005, spending his final season as associate head coach of the Warriors. He oversaw the day-to-day operation of Merrimack’s program for the majority of the 2001-02 season.
Before taking the position at Merrimack, Mike had been head coach at Fairfield and was instrumental in the Stags’ transition to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. He began his coaching career as an assistant at New Hampshire in the 1997-98 season.
Mike was a standout goaltender at Merrimack as an undergraduate and was chosen by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. He played high school hockey at Catholic Memorial High School in Massachusetts.
He is a 1993 graduate of Merrimack with a degree in sociology. He went on to play for Viry, Essone-Champigny in France from 1993-95 and continues to work at a number of local camps and clinics.
